Born in Naples in 1984, Emanuele began musical studies as a child. He studied classical guitar, drums and classical percussion, specializing with Maestro Vittorio Buonomo and Maestro Alfredo Russo. As a performer, he participates in various events and competitions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In 2012-13 and 2013-14 he studied the viol at the \u201cConservatorio Ottorino Respighi\u201d in Latina (near Rome) <\/b>with Maestra Claudia Pasetto and worked as a percussionist with the EnsembleComes Amoris<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2011 he started his training in musical instrument-making following the course \u201cLa via dei Leutari\u201d. He completed his apprenticeship in some of the most renowned Roman workshops, learning construction and restoration techniques for the bowed and plucked instruments. He developed a specific interest in early instrument making and at the end of the apprenticeship received the title of Master Luthier.<\/p>\n

In 2011 he started his training in musical instrument-making following the course \u201cLa via dei Leutari\u201d.<\/b> He completed his apprenticeship in some of the most renowned Roman workshops, learning construction and restoration techniques for the bowed and plucked instruments. \"\" In 2014\/2015 he moved to Cremona<\/b> to follow an advanced course on the setup of bowed musical instruments at the Antonio Stradivari Institute of Higher Education.<\/b> There he improved his knowledge of acoustical physics and materials technology with Professors A. Sarti (Politecnico di Milano) and M. Malagodi (University of Pavia), directors of the laboratories of the Violin Museum in Cremona. He also closely studied the \u2018Cremonese\u2019 making technique of the modern quartet under the direction of Maestro Luca Primon with an internship in the workshop of Maestro Alessandro Voltini.<\/p>\n

In 2015 he entered the 31st edition of the PhD in Music at the University of Rome \u201cLa Sapienza\u201d with a research project on the Italian Viola da Gamba. In the following three years he carried out archival research about Neapolitan viol makers in the 16th century and he studied the major European collections of musical instruments.<\/p>\n

In 2019 he obtained his PhD with the thesis \u201cLa viola da gamba rinascimentale. Il contributo dei liutai italiani alla definizione della tipologia strumentale.\u201d (The Renaissance viola da gamba. The contribution of Italian luthiers to the definition of the instrumental typology.) <\/span><\/p>\n

From 2013 he has been working as a professional luthier. In 2015, with the \u2018Musicantica\u2019 enterprise project, he won the competition \u2018Cultural and Creative Activities\u2019, awarded with financial support from the European Social Fund for his innovative contribution to the advancement of the art of instrument-making.<\/p>\n
